At the beginning of 2019 we said this would be the year of Children and Families at First Baptist. We knew it would be a challenge because we have become known as the church that takes care of the homeless. The two communities (homeless men) and (young families) do not always work well on the same campus. Yet, we knew that God was bigger than the challenge. On Monday night we had more children than we have had on other Mondays. Last night I received this message: "8 kids and 3 adults in the Mission Friends Class. You should have seen those 8 (3-5 year-old kids) It was a wonderful sight. My dream for times to come" God is answering our prayers. Church get ready - many of you have been called to help!

I am beyond excited at what the Lord is doing in the ministry of FBC Apopka. Monday night at Next Step Ministry, I had two individuals express faith in Jesus and ask about Baptism. Tuesday I had a recent guest come to my office and say He wants to join our church family. Tuesday Evening i knelt in our parking lot as David Hook led three students (who got on their knees) and surrendered their lives to the Lord. Next Step Foundation is approved as a 501(c)3 Organization and is being planned to facilitate great community efforts. Plain Joe Studio's will be here at the end of this month to help us impact generations to come. We will sponsor a Free Community Celebration on the 4th of July. We are working on conducting two community VBS events this summer. The Students are preparing for Camp. Are you getting the picture? God is on the move, Hallelujah!

Not often do we have the joy of Celebrating Someone's 100th Birthday! Excited about the opportunity tomorrow! 10:30 am - we will celebrate Rudein Talton's 100th. In the afternoon (5:00 pm) we will have an Easter Contata under the leadership of of Pastor Jon Woods (so glad to have him back at FBC Apopka). The Contata will be followed by our First Family Dinner. If you plan to stay and eat just bring a side or a dessert!

Easter candy needed! We have lots of plastic eggs, but not enough candy to fill them all. If you can, please bring individually wrapped candy to church tomorrow. Thanks!

At our Sunday morning service 10:30 am - we will hear our children sing, learn what happens when "Jesus enters the Scene", and celebrate the 100th birthday of Rudien Talton (all Apopkans and friends of the Taltons are invited to join us!)

Tonight! GAs, RAs, and Mission Friends meet from 6:30-7:30 to learn all about missions. (Bring the kids at 6 for playtime on the playground.)

Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join in celebrating Easter. Special events are planned for Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.

Our Easter egg hunt is coming up in just two weeks! If you can, please bring your donation of plastic eggs and individually wrapped candy. Please don't bring chocolate - it will melt, and please make sure candy is individually wrapped. Thank you so much for your help!

We have been blessed to see God's 'hand' in so many ways. Thanking Him for spiritual, physical, relational, financial and emotional healing! There are few things in life that are more beautiful than seeing someone SET FREE from the chains of Satan! We celebrate and shout Hallelujah!

I continue to get 'notices' that I haven't shared anything on this page! It isn't because there is nothing to share - it is because I am too busy to spend time here! There are real people, with real needs, that keep me tied up. If you are looking for a church where you can be 'used' to the glory of God in the effort of changing lives - we are the church for you! Mission Complete!

I'd like to say thanks to some hard-working volunteers who spent this past Saturday cleaning up one of the children's classrooms. We have a lot to do to get ready for this coming Sunday!
